Works great!
Arrived quickly after ordering. This paper shredder easily takes multiple sheets of paper at once, and has been used to shred old credit cards, which it did with no problem…

Having read over some of the comments and ratings on this average size paper shredder, I haven’t encountered the problems others have. The shredder activates easily once paper is introduced and I’ve not had a problem having to adjust how the paper was introduced to the activation mechanism. It’s the perfect size for my small home office and the right color (black).
You know those pesky credit card offers that come to you through the mail all the time? Don’t even bother opening them. They’re not too thick for the shredding capacity and it’ll save you time by only having to introduce one piece instead of multiples if you cut open the envelope.
Credit cards whip through it without hesitation. And the basket size is just right (I empty mine about every 10 days now).
Reliable. Great price. Perfect size. Works flawlessly. What’s not to like?

Don’t give up!
The first one I had died mysteriously after shredding 1 credit card, but Amazon was helpful with a replacement and was quick to reimburse my return shipping cost.

Shredder failed new out of box
New out of the box, the shredder failed to cross cut paper, even if fed a sheet at a time. The cutters/blades didn’t produce a “clean” shred like all other shredders I have worked…

This is the first shredder that has not broke or jammed up on me within 2 weeks of purchase. Shred per instructions and this will do the job. It holds a lot more than it looks too. Easy lightweight basket to empty. Not as loud as previous ones I have owned. I am very happy with my purchase. I compared prices before purchasing too.

Works well
This 8-paper small shredder seems to slow down slightly with more than 6 pieces of regular paper and it is NOISY. But it works and so far has not jammed.

Not as robust as the description implies.
This is my first shredder so I can’t compare it to others but I can compare it to the description from the manufacturer.

This is a great little machine. It’s fairly quiet and shreds credit cards with ease. It’s solid and sturdy and my husband, who didn’t think we needed one, uses it often.

Broke after 2 months of very light usage!
The shredder worked just fine for 2 months, with very light usage. All we shred is the junk mail we get.

This works well, but it doesn’t handle 8 sheets. After four, the performance slows considerably. Since the shredder is for personal use, we find it quite satisfactory.

AURORA AS890C SHREDDER
The only complaint I have is that the paper has to be put in at an angle, instead of straight down. This makes smaller pieces of paper a little more difficult to shread.

Satified
The AS890C shredder has lived up to my expectations. It seems well made and sturdy. I use it for occasional shredding so I expect it to last a long time.
